Green Seal Releases 2023 Impact Report

How Do Your Green Cleaning Choices Impact the World?

There is no question your product choices have a huge impact on sustainability. Globally recognized cleaning organization, Green Seal, recently released their 2023 impact report to highlight the expansive impacts your purchasing power holds.

"This concept is made real when you see the numbers in this Impact Report – figures like 1.7 billion plastic bottles saved annually by Green Seal-certified cleaning products, and 12.5 million metric tons of CO2 emissions saved by Green Seal-certified sanitary paper each year."

In addition to highlighting the impact Green Seal has and their new initiatives, the report focuses on four major areas of concern:

  1. Protecting Human Health - Green Seal-certified cleaning products protected 9.6 million students and teachers from toxic chemicals and asthma triggers in 2022.

  2. Preserving the Climate - Green Seal-certified sanitary paper saves 12.5 million metric tons of carbon emissions each year, the equivalent of taking 2.7 million cars off the road.

  3. Ensuring Clean Water - Green Seal-certified sanitary paper, made with 100% recycled fiber, reduced manufacturing water use by 12.4 billion gallons in 2022, and prevented 500,000 pounds of persistent pollutants from contaminating water bodies thanks to chlorine-free manufacturing processes.

  4. Minimizing Waste - Green Seal-certified cleaning products save 1.7 billion industry-grade 1-liter plastic bottles each year.

While the report certainly serves as a marketing tool advocating for Green Seal certification, with 1 billion square feet of commercial space cleaned every day by Green Seal-certified cleaning companies nationwide, aligning your mission and delivery of services with the Green Seal program initiatives is a win / win for everyone.
